Educational Outreach Programs at the Edisto Island Serpentarium
We come to you with a variety of programs that touch on many different areas of interest. I know you can find something to fit into your program that you are teaching or we can adjust our programs to fit your needs. All programs correlates with South Carolina Educational science standards.
Programs will be geared to meet the grades of the children attending. We have designed the programs below to be entertaining as well as educational.
Snakes Alive
This informative and hands-on program introduces students to native snakes and dispels the many myths that surround them. Students will learn the unique natural history of these reptiles and the adaptations that make them so successful. While learning information relating to their grade level, students will gain practical knowledge about what to do when encountering a snake, how to identify different species, and why they are an important part of the food chain. 45 minutes.
This program can be adjusted to your needs.
At the end of our programs the children will have time for questions and to see the reptiles up close, hold a live snake.
Cost: $400 for one program.

A deposit of $100 must be paid to hold your program date, then a total of 80% must be paid 15 days prior to program date and balance must be paid on arrival at your facility before program.
